The following training courses are accredited by the National Plant Operators Registration Scheme (NPORS):

Health & Safety Awareness course - 1 Day.

This can be customised to suit each individual company. The course can be carried out here in Forres or at the customers premises. Maximum number of candidates is 10. NPORS cards are available if required or a Varis Training Certificate.

This course covers the current Legislation and what it actually means for the candidate in each relevant area. It will highlight the main features of the law and how it applies to work situations.

It is intended for all levels of employees to give them and their employers an awareness of the most important aspects of Health & Safety in the workplace.

Manual Handling course - 1/2 Day.

This is customised to each company's requirements. The course can be carried out here in Forres or at the customers premises. Maximum number of candidates is 10. NPORS cards are available if required or a Varis Training Certificate.

The course consists of both theory and practical sessions to relate to the candidates working environment. The course covers the requirements of the Acts and Regulations, the causes of lifting injuries, how to avoid them and correct manual handling techniques.

Slinger/ Signaller - 1 Day.

This is a 1 day course carried out here in Forres or at the customers premises. Maximum number of candidates is 6. The cost of crane hire may be required. NPORS cards are available if required or a Varis Training Certificate.
